This is the preferred non-organic Tazo
This is the good old non-organic Tazo tea. I love organic products, but when Tazo decided to make all their teas organic, the Awake English Breakfast tea went from being a tea from which I could get two or three strong cups to one where I could only get one fairly-strong cup. The new organic AEB tea is much weaker than the non-organic previous version.

Addicted to this tea
I agree with the reviewer who noted that Tazo’s new “Organic” Awake messed with the taste. It seems now you can only find the organic. I asked for a multi-pack for Christmas, and even though my son ordered regular Awake, the organic version was shipped. I sincerely hope that I receive what is shown. I have drunk tea all my life, and got into a stronger English Breakfast tea with Tetley’s British Blend, but started drinking Awake from Starbucks while traveling. It is strong so I have to watch how many mugs I consume. If the company is only going to offer the organic version, I will either have to see if I can get used to it, or find something else. I would miss it tremendously.

Great taste, box was crushed
The tea tastes great, I use it for iced tea thought and don’t drink it hot. It is just what I was looking for. However like many other reviewers, when I got mine the box of tea was crushed as well (the box it was shipped in was totally fine, just the box of tea was crushed!). I the tea bags did not seem to be damaged but it makes me wonder what is happening that so many other people experience the same thing. Honestly though, will order this again because it is the specific taste I wanted.

The tea bags didn’t seem very fresh compared to ones in stores for restaurants
The tea did not smell very fresh. Usually with Earl Grey you have an aroma in the teabag and there was none.

this is great tea and hard to find in stores
I love this tea. Plain black tea is hard to find in stores, and expensive in specialty stores. I don’t like the orange pekoe flavor most tea carried by grocery stores is cut with – in my opinion, it is the orange pekoe that adds the bitterness. Yes, you have to buy a lot (6 packs of 24 each) but I drink it every day, and particularly love it iced with my own flavorings added. (Please! Don’t change this product!)

Nice black tea to start the day
I’ve been trying several black teas recently because I’m trying to lower my coffee intake while still getting some caffeine to jump start my day. In terms of flavor, Tazo awake and stash black were both really nice and clearly more flavorful than the generic lipton type black tea, but I feel like Tazo has a bit more caffeine to get my day going in the morning or if I need an afternoon pick me up. Overall a very nice tea and a pretty good deal versus the close to $5 starbucks sells it for in store.

Starbucks tea at a discount
My wife likes the tea at Starbucks, we bought a tin there, but the price is rather high, as you would expect at Starbucks. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they carry the brand at Amazon at a much better price.4-stars as the tea bags are slightly different from the pricey ones from Starbucks – I can’t tell the difference though my wife can!

Excessive price for this black tea
I like this product but absolutely cannot believe that the price of this box of black tea is $12, and is available everywhere! I was rushing and not paying attention when I received a notification that my monthly subscription was not available and I could select a backup. I thought the backup would be the same (6 boxes) but from a different vendor. I am disappointed but learned a costly lesson.

Terrible Shipping and Too Expensive
For the extreme price they’re charging for this tea, you would think it would come packaged better. It arrived in a flimsy bag and the box had come open and all the tea bags had spilled out of it.

Great product/GREAT PRICE!
Like many others, we are making the transition from coffee to tea and Tazo’s AWAKE tea is an exceptional product. We enjoy all the TAZO tea flavors, but this one is especially important as it’s the first thing we drink each morning. The price CANNOT be beat! Considering one box costs me $5-7 EACH at my local grocer, Amazon offers a GREAT price to buy in bulk. I highly recommend this tea to anyone and everyone.

What’s this ?
What was scribbled over on my tazo tea box. Looks like someone too ink pen scratched over something to hide. I’m not drinking this tea. I threw both boxes in garbage.

A great Black Tea Blend
I found Tazo Awake about 4 years ago, and it is now the only black tea that I drink. The flavor is very full-bodied and clean, i.e., there is not any strong tannin aftertaste. The only regret I have on making this purchase is that Tazo Awake is often on sale at the supermarket or at Target for less than it is offered online.

BOX WAS CRUSHED!
I only use Tazo English Breakfast Tea, NOT the organic one! The new organic one Tea taste awful like dirty dishwater! I’m not against anything organic as long as it taste good! This one does not! So I will continue buying it although its a little pricey as long as it doesnt come with the box totally crushed , like this one did, just hoping the tea bags are not effected and the bags not ripped, I found 2 in this shipment that were torn and tea all in the bottom of cup, hope it doesnt happen again…

Great tea, beat up box…
Tazo: Awake is one of my favorite teas. It’s too bad the box is too beat up to sit well on the shelf. Makes me miss Amazon boxes, the plastic mailers allow things to arrive damaged. At least the smooshed box won’t change the taste of the tea!

New recipe?
Did Tazo change the formula for their Earl Grey teabags?? It does not taste the same as usual. (I drink this tea at least 4-5 times a week and have for several years.) it’s actually really a blah taste now. It tastes like plain old breakfast tea. Could there be a mix up at the factory?? If Tazo did this to cut the price making the tea, that would seriously suck.

The box that the tea bags came in was crushed and inside a white plastic postal bag I love Tazo tea and the presentation packaging that it comes in should also be part of what you are purchasing. There seemed to be no care or effort to ensure the overall quality of an otherwise great product.

My old favorite
This has been my go-to breakfast tea for years. Then…..Tazo decides it has to be organic and clean and the new regenerative organic Awake tea sucks! That’s why I will pay whatever to continue drinking the good old Awake until I can no longer find it. I have tried 5 other brands recently and none compare.

Great black tea
I finally bought the 6 pack of 24 of this tea as it is one of my favorite Tazo black teas on Amazon. They are really convenient to use and easy to take along in tea bag form. I also get the loose leaf version at (which is bolder) at Starbucks for under 7 dollars a tin. It is a nice mixed flavor of English Breakfast (Twinings brand is best for English Breakfast in my opinion) and ever so slightly Earl Grey and other black teas. The Tazo Awake black tea is not as strong as some but bold in flavor or aroma, the loose leaf version by Tazo is even more so. I don’t drink caffeine in the form of sodas or coffee but I do drink lots of tea and I don’t ever feel wired or caffeine’d out after a few cups of tea each day. Tazo has impressed with both their loose leaf and tea bag versions. Seep it long enough to get the bold color, flavor and aroma but don’t over do it as the tea will have bitterness if you leave it seeping too long.

Price is outrageous!
I love the tea, but the price for one box is 4 times what you’d pay retail in a store. I was thinking it was multiple boxes so my bad for not reading closely enough. So don’t be fooled. It’s one box of tea for an outrageous price that I won’t buy again no matter how much I like it.

Love my Tazo Awake!
I am a tea not coffee drinker, and only enjoy black tea, or occasionally green tea mixed with black tea. when I started to change some eating habits and initiated the whole30/whole9life – I needed to cut out artificial sweeteners and dairy (would always have 3-4 Splenda in m tea). it definitely took a little to get used to, and realized that some regular black teas or different brands of English breakfast just had different taste or bitterness to it.I haven’t tried 100 but enough to know that drinking black tea with nothing added Tazo Awake stands out for me. Always enjoyed Tazo when introduced to it at Starbucks.I couldn’t even use the Kcups of Timothy’s English breakfast anymore which is just too bitter.so my order of Black tea nothing added rating:Tazo Awake 5 starsBigelow 4 starsTetlow 4 starsLipton 3 starsTimothy’s English breakfast 1 starmy 2 cents!

I found that I could use the Tazo tea bags verses the kpods which are extremely expensive. I can even put the tea bags where the kpods go and it works just fine.

Tazo Awake Black Tea
Best tea in bags ever!Yeah, some lipton black tea cost less money for 100 bags, but this tea is like somebody is using tazo bags after 5th time.This is some kind of different box with this tea. There is a 24 bags in each box and not like 20 in some regular tazo box from grocery store.So, have a great cup of tea!!!

a great and versatile black tea
This tea is wonderful. I grew up drinking black tea, and have been experimenting with different black teas for a while. this is one of the most versatile and all around best. good as a hot cream tea in the morning, and an iced tea in the afternoon. It is flavorful, but not over powering, I even like it before bed as well.

Yes, I still love the older Tazo Awake tea over the moreexpensive new Tazo Awake tea. I don’t taste much differencefrom the old to the new. Tazo still makes the best black tea-it is strong without being acidic. The only other way I can get such a good cup of tea is by brewing leaves from my own making. It’s a bit pricey for the Tazo box but so worth it!

The best tea I have ever had. I miss being able to buy it at Starbucks, so much. It was my daily “treat”. Now, I have it at home! I am of British ancestry and I know good tea. This is the best!
